Ohio U’s School of Film Nationally Ranked

The Ohio University School of Film, where I earned my MFA in 2005, was recently ranked by Videomaker Magazine as one of the top ten film schools in the nation. I was quoted by the article in the Ohio University campus paper The Post about the news.

“The years I spent there thinking about who I am as a filmmaker, artist and academic collaborating with my peers and professors away from the pressures of the industry were invaluable to my growth as an artist,” said Ruth Gregory, a 2005 School of Film alumna. “That is one of the reasons why the school is so great and I am happy to see that others, like Videomaker, are catching on.”

The OU SOF was also nationally ranked third by Education-Portal.com.

Both times the ranking put the OU SOF ahead of other film school powerhouses like the University of California, Los Angeles and The University of Texas, Austin.

Congrats to all the faculty, staff, students, and alumns for all their outstanding work that resulted in these amazing recognitions of late!
